Ken Collins Marketing helps businesses bring their design, marketing, and advertising together around a clear purpose. Founded in 2015 and based in Farmington, New Mexico, we work with clients locally and nationwide.
We never settled on a single industry. Our clients kept coming from different fields, with different challenges, budgets, and ambitions—and that variety became part of what makes the work rewarding.
Whether the project is small and focused or broad in scope, we start by understanding the business behind it. The goal is useful work that fits who you are and where you want to go.

I’m Ken Collins. I personally handle every client relationship at Ken Collins Marketing. When you call, ask a question, or talk through an idea, you work with me.
Behind the scenes, I coordinate a team of 20–30 contract professionals to help deliver the work. You gain the skills your project needs while keeping one consistent point of contact.
My background spans military service, operations, systems, technology, customer service, public relations, and marketing. Across those roles, I’ve earned recognition for solving problems, improving how work gets done, and helping people succeed.
I enjoy getting to know other business owners, learning what makes their businesses different, and seeing their excitement when the work opens possibilities they hadn’t imagined.

From one company’s marketing
to many businesses’ goals.
After managing marketing as an employee, Ken co-founded an agency with two partners in 2009. The idea was straightforward: bring the same dedication to many businesses that they had brought to one.
As the partners’ visions evolved, they closed that agency in 2014. Ken founded Ken Collins Marketing in 2015 as its sole owner, building a business around personal accountability, adaptable services, and lasting client relationships.
Listening closely to clients has continued to shape what comes next.

As Ken handled clients’ marketing, regular conversations often turned to broader business struggles: operations, systems, people, and growth.
He established Strategic Horizons Consulting in 2024 to offer dedicated help with those challenges, returning to his roots in operations and systems while continuing to lead Ken Collins Marketing.

1st Ave is the research and development division of Ken Collins Marketing. It grew from a need for small, helpful business tools that are difficult—or impossible—to find.
We look for recurring business problems, evaluate whether a useful solution is worth developing, and bring promising products to market.
